Our Plantain Salve is not made from the popular "cooking banana", but from the herbaceous plant also known as Plantago.  Plantain (plantago) has been used historically as an herbal medicine to heal cuts, bites, and rashes.  This salve is made with ingredients that have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and astringent properties, which make it a great "problem solver" salve.  While these products have a long shelf life, we recommend using them within 4-5 months of purchase as we don't use any perservatives.
